There is no respite any time soon for Assam coaching institute owner Victor Das who was arrested by the police for spreading rumours of corruption in the recently held direct recruitment exams by the state government.
Victor Das continues to be in the custody of the Pan Bazar Police and has not been able to produce any evidence so far to back his sensational claims.
However, Victor has been treated well by the police. This was revealed by Victor’s mother. She said that the police is not forcing Victor.
She also appealed to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to look into the matter, while exuding faith in the judiciary.

It may be mentioned that Victor Das has alleged a ring demanding bribes for jobs in the recently held direct recruitment exams in grade 3 and 4 government posts.
Das took to social media and alleged that a racket demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs from each candidate.
He was later called to the Panbazar police station where he was interrogated over his big claims. He was arrested on September 9.
Victor Das runs two coaching institutes in Guwahati, one at Rajgarh and the other at Maligaon, both of which are named Swardemy.
Victor also gives online coaching to aspirants through a Youtube channel.
The coaching center gives training for aspirants appearing in different types of entrance and competitive exams.
