Arunachali film ‘Sangi Gai’ to be screened at Cannes Film Festival 2024

CM Pema Khandu lauded the director, producer and creative producer of the film for bringing rare laurels to the state.

The Arunachali film ‘Sangi Gai’ will be screened at the Marche du Film (Film Market) during the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2024 in France from May 14 to 25.

The enthralling fantasy drama directed by Nyago Ete and produced by Alison Welly Bakha has been selected by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to be screened at the Marche du Film.

“To be nominated in Film Festival is one thing, but to to be selected by National Film Development Cooperation (NFDC) INDIA for the coveted Cannes Film Festival 2024 is something entirely apart.

There Couldn’t be happier news today. Thank you Almighty,” Producer Alison Welly Bakha wrote in a Facebook post.

Taking to X, Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended his best wishes to the cast and crew members of the film and lauded the director, producer and creative producer of the film for bringing rare laurels to the state.

The film featuring actors Tai Tugung, Tarh Tama and Kendy Zirdo, tells a story about a man named Tamar (Played by Tarh Tama), who finds an exotic device while searching for his lost brother Tamey, that sends him to the land of strangers in the obscured future, disrupting his current time of the year 1914.
