Arunachal Pradesh Curling Association Wins 8 Bronze Medals in 4th National Ice Curling Championship- 2025

At least 19 teams from across India competed for the National title showcasing the country’s growing interest in the sport of curling.

Arunachal Pradesh Curling Association won eight bronze medals in the 4th National Ice Curling Championship- 2025 held at Gulmarg. The championship was organised by Jammu & Kashmir Curling Association which was held from January 17 to 20.

Among the medal winners, in junior double and juniors mixed double (Under-18) are Sonam Tsering and Yasmi Ekke who won two bronze medals each, while Tago Achung and Lonia Gyasing won one each in junior mixed team.

In senior mixed double (18+), Jelly khonjuju and Yangam Mosu won a bronze each.

Team coach Limpu Nikhangju, the General Secretary and team coach Jummar Karbak of Arunachal Pradesh Curling Association congratulated the team for their spiritful performance saying they have brought laurels to the state.

At least 19 state teams from across India came to competing for the National title, showcasing the country’s growing interest in the sport of curling.

Notably, Curling is a sport that requires the skillful sliding of stones across the ice towards a target area.

This championship is not only a celebration of athletic talent but also highlights the potential of India’s winter sports scene.
