The crucial NSCN-IM and Government of India meet, the second in two days, is underway in New Delhi at the moment.
The fresh meeting between both sides comes after yesterday’s inconclusive discussion.
Both sides are looking to come at a consensus on the contentious separate flag and constitution issue on or before October 31st.
As per sources a 15-member delegation of the NSCN-IM led by its general secretary T Muivah is conducting the talks with Nagaland governor and central interlocutor RN Ravi.
Both the NSCN-IM and the government of India have so far refused to budge from their respective stands on the separate flag and constitution issue.
Meanwhile, prior to the meet with the NSCN-IM, Nagaland Governor and central interlocutor RN Ravi had a detailed discussion with representatives of the NNPGs.
The meeting with the NNPGs started at 11 am and lasted for around three hours.
As per sources, the meeting was a cross checking of the agreed positions, since both Government of India and the NNPGs have resolved all issues related to the peace talks.
The NNPGs will be camping in Delhi till October 31st and continue talks with the Government of India.
