7 AEC students killed, 6 injured in road accident in Assam

In a tragic road accident reported from Jalukbari near Guwahati, seven students from Assam Engineering College were killed on the spot and six were grievously injured. The incident occurred on Sunday night when a Scorpio SUV, carrying the students, lost control and collided with a Bolero pickup van.

The deceased, all in their third semester, were identified as Rajkiran Bhuyan from Kamalabari in Majuli, Emon Bhuyan from Dibrugarh, Kaushik Mohan from Sibsagar, Upanshu Sharma from Nagaon, Kaushik Barua from Jyotinagar in Mangaldai, Arindam Bhowal, and Niyor Deka, both from Guwahati.

The local police and emergency services were alerted promptly and arrived at the scene.
