2 dead, several injured as bus skids off road in Arunachal’s Leparada district

Two persons were killed and several others were injured in an accident when a passenger bus skidded off the road and fell into a 200-metre-deep gorge in Leparada district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Two persons were killed and several others were injured in an accident when a passenger bus skidded off the road and fell into a 200-metre-deep gorge in Leparada district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The mishap took place around 10 pm on Thursday near Sodom Doke Village about 11 km away from Tirbin circle.

The bus bearing registration number AR 07 2693 with 13 passengers on board was on its way from Daporijo in Upper Subansiri of Arunachal Pradesh to Silapathar in Assam’s Dhemaji district.

The driver and co-driver of the ill-fated bus succumbed on the spot. Meanwhile, the injured were admitted to the district hospital at Basar in Leparada district.
