Assam Chief Minister had warned that any breach of law during the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ will be dealt with sternly by authorities.
In Assam, the yatra will cover a distance of around 833 kilometres, passing through 17 districts in 4 days.
Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi has resumed the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Sekmai today after halting for the night at the buffer zone.
The Manipur CM said that he is doubtful if Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state this time will ignite fresh unrest in the state.
Gandhi along with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge kicked off the yatra in presence of other senior leaders and supporters.

The meet was organised to take stock of the party's poll preparedness ahead of the Arunachal Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls.
Voting will be held for 22 constituencies and 87 candidates are in the fray. BJP had won 6 of the total 28 seats uncontested.
He will reach Nagaland on the second day after commencing the yatra in Manipur on January 14.
