Japanese football icon Keisuke Honda is set to join Bhutanese club Paro FC and will be travelling to Nepal this month for an exciting AFC Challenge Cup playoff.
The crucial match, scheduled for August 29 at Kathmandu’s Dasharath Stadium, will see Paro FC face Church Boys United, the champions of Nepal’s A-Division League.
Honda’s upcoming visit to Nepal is anticipated to elevate Paro FC’s profile and impact Bhutanese football.
The club’s new signings, including Ghanaian forward William Opoku and Japanese player Koki Narita, are expected to strengthen the squad further.

During his international career from 2008 to 2018, he scored 37 goals in 98 appearances for Japan.

Church Boys United have also appointed Balkrishna Maharjan as their new head coach, who previously led the team to the A-Division League title.
