A day after resigning as Tripura Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha have officially joined the Congress in the national capital Delhi today.
The big development comes after Sudip Roy Barman, along with Ashish Saha met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at the latter’s residence this morning.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Vadra was also present at this all-important meeting.

After joining the Congress, speaking to the media, Roy Barman described it as his ‘Ghar Wapsi’, adding that he had finally come back home after a short exile of more than four years.
Sudip Roy Barman also alleged that the law and order situation in Tripura is at stake under the ruling dispensation. He affirmed that congress will be forming the government in Tripura next year.
Roy Barman and Ashish Saha resigned from the BJP yesterday in Tripura.
