Addressing a massive rally in support of BJP and NDPP candidates at Tuensang, Amit Shah informed that the Centre will soon sign an agreement with the ENPO once the election

Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is on a blazing campaign trail in Nagaland today made a big announcement pertaining to the ENPO’s demand for creation of Frontier Nagaland.

Addressing a massive rally in support of BJP and NDPP candidates at Tuensang, Amit Shah informed that the Centre will soon sign an agreement with the ENPO once the election is over.

Shah said,”Before election, ENPO had announced to boycott the election. There are some issues in Eastern Nagaland, regarding development, rights of Eastern Nagaland. The Home Ministry had positive talks with the ENPO and we have reached an agreed position, but because of the Model Code of Conduct due to election, we could not give shape to this. I want to convey that after the election is over, the Home MInistry will sign an agreement keeping in mind about the demands of the ENPO.”

The Union Home Minister believes that signing of the agreement will ensure progress and development in the Eastern part of Nagaland. Shah said,”will usher massive progress and development in Eastern Nagaland. Everyone will get their equal rights.”

Besides, Amit Shah during his speech also spoke about the Naga issue and feels that the situation changed after signing of the Framework Agreement.

In this context, Shah said,”I want to remind You all about Nagaland which was before 2014. There was bloodshed, firing incidents, bomb blasts, insurgency. But, after Narendra Modi Ji became the Prime Minister, he signed the Peace Accord and carried forward the Naga peace talks and today Nagaland in greater terms is going ahead as far as development and progress is concerned. Our peace talk is going on and I firmly believe that whatever Modi Ji has initiated, it will be successful and we will be able to establish peace by recognising Naga culture, language, attire, and Naga History.”
