Ravindra Telang Appointed New Chief Secretary of Sikkim

Ravindra Telang, an IAS officer from the 1995 batch, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Sikkim today, succeeding VB Pathak, who is set to retire at the end of this month.

Earlier, Telang served as the Additional Chief Secretary in charge of Sikkim’s Education Department in 2022.

His vast experience in public administration has been a key factor in his elevation to the state’s top administrative position.

Senior IAS officer V.B. Pathak took charge as the Chief Secretary of Sikkim in 2022.

Pathak, a 1990-batch IAS officer, also served as Additional Chief Secretary-Cum-Development Commissioner, Planning & Development Department with additional charge of the Finance department.
