Sikkim CM apprises HM Shah about conditions of NH-10

Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang has apprised about the condition of the state's lifeline NH-10, which is badly hit by landslides.

Sikkim Chief Minister PS Golay while attending the NE Plenary meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, highlighted the need to improve and strengthen the NH-10 highway, which is the lifeline of Sikkim. In this regard, Chief Minister Golay requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to kindly guide the highways and borders road authorities to extend comprehensive assistance to restructure, renovate, and upgrade the NH 10.
Earlier in the morning, landslides were reported in different parts of Nimtar on NH-10 totally disrupting movement of vehicles. The area of landslide is not very far from Ranipool.
