Prez Murmu inaugurates multiple projects on day 1 of Nagaland visit

The second day of her Nagaland visit will see the President visit the historic World War II cemetery and Kigwema Village.
President Droupadi Murmu today inaugurated and laid the base for multiple projects as she embarked on her maiden 2-day visit to Nagaland.
President Murmu inaugurated the projects during a civic reception at Kohima in presence of Governor Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Addressing the event, President Murmu said that since this is her second visit to the Northeast in a span of one month, this shows the commitment that the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has towards the region.

Also addressing the event was Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio who said that they are hopeful for an early solution to the Naga political issue and are also hoping that a solution would give a boost to the youths of the state and contribute to the nation’s economy.
Here he called upon the President to support them in resolving the Naga issue at the earliest.
The second day of her Nagaland visit will see the President visit the historic World War II cemetery and Kigwema Village where stalls have been set up by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission. The President will also interact with the Self Help Groups.
The president is slated to leave for Mizoram later tomorrow.
