Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) central office in Kohima vandalised and raised to the ground

In a sensational incident, the central office of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in Kohima was vandalized by unknown miscreants in the wee hours today. According to inputs, around 8 shops and a hotel too were vandalized.
The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) and Kohima Press Club were also operating temporary offices from the NSF central office.
Police is currently investigation the matter.
Condemnations have poured in from different leaders including former NSF leaders after the incident.
Reacting to the incident NSF president K Tep said,”Of course this is the office of the Naga Students Federation (NSF) but we considered this office as the house of the Naga people. Lot of documents of NSF as well as the Naga people were kept here. However, we are sad to say that our documents have been torn (by the miscreants). We are very sad to see that this has happened, words cannot express our sadness.”
Calling for justice, Tep stated, “All we desire is to see justice prevail.”
The NSF president also said that the apex students body does not suspect anybody to be behind the incident and left it upon the investigations to find the perpetrators.
Naga Hoho Gen Secy Elu Ndang, who was also the former general secretary & vice-president of the apex students body termed the incident as shocking and barbaric.
He said,”The miscreants should be immediately booked and it should be a non-bailable warrant until and unless the issue is resolved amicably. The people involved needs to be brought out to the public domain, so that people know who are involved in this.”
Advisor to Information and Public Relations department, Nagaland government, Imkong L Imchen too vehemently condemned the attack on the NSF office. Speaking to Northeast Live he said,”I was shocked to learn about it this morning. This should not have happened. Whoever has done it is mischievious. I hope they are arrested and put behind bars.”
