CM Conrad Sangma lauds Meghalaya runners for exceptional performance in Mumbai Marathon

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has congratulated Darishisha Iangjuh and Tlanding Wahlang for their exceptional performance in the recently concluded Mumbai Marathon.

Taking to Twitter the Meghalaya Chief Minister lauded both the runners for bringing laurels to the state as well as the region.
It may be mentioned that Darishisha Iangjuh secured third place among the amateur runners besides placing first in the 25-30 category. Meanwhile, Tlanding Wahlang (Men’s) took first place in the 40-45 category & overall secured 10th position amongst the amateur runners.
A team of 14 runners from RunMeghalaya took part in the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday, with several of them finishing on the podium of their respective categories.
Apart from Tlanding Wahlang (Men’s) Marvin Kharkongor was third among the 25-30s while Jomsing Ramsiej came second in the 35-40 category.
In the women’s category, besides Darishisha Iangjuh, Bandasharai Marwein crossed the line in third in the same division and Snora Lyngkhoi was third in the 45-50 category.Kmoinlang Wahlang, meanwhile, was the only competitor among women 70 and above.
