Story of a Good Samaritan: Naga officer reaches out to Manipur victims

A Good Samaritan from Shillong has reached out to victims of the ongoing violence in Manipur with financial assistance for their medical expenses.

The Good Samaritan is an officer from Nagaland who is currently posted in Shillong and wants to remain anonymous.

She had entrusted a few women from Kangpokpi town to carry out her noble deeds and services for the victims.

The entrusted mothers visited Kangpokpi Christian Hospital and handed over financial aid provided by the Good Samaritan for the medical expenses of the victims.

The victims include a father whose daughter was allegedly sexually assaulted in Imphal. The traumatized father is undergoing treatment for kidney stones and will undergo surgery soon.

The officer also reached out to other victims of the conflict. One of the victims conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Good Samaritan for her generosity and humanitarian service.

“I don’t know you, and you don’t know me as well, but, your kindness and love touch every pain and suffering we are enduring and it gives us much relief”, he said.

He also said, “We will always keep you in the soft corner of our hearts, and our prayers for your well-being, safety, and a bright and successful career in your job will always follow you.”

The victims also thanked the mothers of Kangpokpi for taking the trouble to reach them with the love and kindness of the good samaritan officer.
