Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also be arriving in the poll bound sate today to address at least 3 party rallies in Singjamei, Thangmeiband and Langthabal. This will be the first visit of the Raksha Mantri ahead of the polls in Manipur.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the flag hoisting ceremony at the residence of L Susindro Meitei, the BJP candidate from Khurai constituency.
A host of dignitaries, including Sambit Patra, were present at the ceremony. Notably, this is the 2nd visit of CM Sarma to poll-bound Manipur within a week.
It is to mention that Union law and justice minister Kiren Rijiju is already camping in Manipur since Saturday.
