Traffic Advisory Issued in Guwahati for 2 IPL 2025 Matches
Guwahati Traffic Police has released a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the upcoming two IPL 2025 matches at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara on March 26 and 30.
The measures aim to ensure the safety of vulnerable road users, including students, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals, while also allowing emergency vehicles smooth passage.
Traffic Restrictions and Diversions
- All types of goods-carrying vehicles will be prohibited from plying on the following roads between 3 PM and 12 Midnight on match days:
GS Road
B.K. Kakati Road
A.K. Azad Road
A.K. Dev Road
Kula Basumatary Road
FA Road
Dhopoliya Road
Bishnupur Road
MG Road
AT Road
RMC Road
GNB Road
Kahilipara Road - One-Way Traffic Regulations:
A.K. Azad Road: From 3 PM onwards, it will be one-way, allowing movement from Lal Ganesh towards Birubari. However, vehicles from Birubari will not be permitted to travel towards A.K. Azad Road.
Kula Basumatary Road: From 3 PM onwards, this road will also be one-way. From 4:30 PM, only vehicles with valid passes will be allowed. No entry will be permitted from the Dhirenpara side. - Diversions for Vehicles Without Passes:
Vehicles from Lal Ganesh will be diverted at Lal Ganesh Tiniali towards Hayat Hospital and Kahilipara Road.
Vehicles from Birubari without passes will be diverted towards Arya Nagar from Cycle Factory Field near Ambari. - Parking Restrictions:
No Parking Zones:
Barsapara Tiniali to Dhirenpara Tiniali (Kula Basumatary Road)
Cycle Factory to Lal Ganesh Tiniali (A.K. Azad Road)
Ambari Tiniali to Champawati High School (A.K. Dev Road)
One-Side Parking Allowed:
From Champawati High School to Garchuk (A.K. Dev Road) - Post-Match Exit Routes:
Vehicles parked inside the stadium will be leave either towards Dhirenpara Tiniali or Barsapara Tiniali.
Gate Entry Regulations for Spectators and Officials
Gate No. 1A: Reserved exclusively for players and match officials.
Gate No. 1B: Only for vehicles with car passes provided by ACA.
Public Entry Gates:
Gate No. 2 (Barsapara Road) – Entry via Barsapara Tiniali (A.K. Azad Road).
Gate No. 3 (R.G. Baruah Path) – Entry via Barsapara Tiniali and R.G. Baruah Path through Rolling Mill Tiniali via Godrej Gali/Rolling Mill (A.K. Azad Road).
Gate No. 4 (Rolling Mill Road) – Entry via Rolling Mill Tiniali through Godrej Gali/Rolling Mill Path (A.K. Azad Road).
Gate No. 5 (Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Path) – Entry via Raghunath Path on A.K. Dev Road.
Gate No. 6 (Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Path) – Entry via Raghunath Path on A.K. Dev Road.
The traffic advisory aims to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety, especially during peak match hours.
Commuters and spectators are advised to follow designated routes, use public transport where possible, and cooperate with traffic personnel to avoid congestion and delays.
