Condemning the ongoing series of violence, the MLA said disarmament should be top priority of the Government now

Manipur BJP MLA Rajkumar Imo Singh has called for more stringent actions from the Centre in order to end the conflict in the violence affected state.

The MLA strongly condemned the killing of 3 persons at Kwakta in Bishnupur district today morning.

Expressing his serious concern over the turmoil which is just refusing to die for more than three months now, RK Imo Singh said, “We believe that it is not just militancy now, we believe there is terrorism in the state, where they are trying to terrorise the normal people who was staying there in their houses with their families. So I believe that central govt needs to take a lot more stringent action right now.”

RK Imo Singh in his message to the Centre said, “A lot of people have come in trying to create unrest over here in the state which I believe they are successful to an extent. I think stringent actions needs to taken against those insurgent groups who are violating ground rules. The central government needs to find out.”

The BJP MLA called for complete disarmament. He questioned if certain “foreign elements” are backing insurgent groups to wage a war against the central and state forces and create further unrest.

RK Imo Singh stated, “For me personally, if you ask me, we need to disarm. Disarmament is key right now. Disarmament from the insurgent groups, disarmament from the so-called foreign militia which we believe are there, disarmament also from those that are looted from the Police machinery. This is very important, I think, a top priority that the Government needs to do.”
