Manipur: 5-day film festival- NEIFF 2024, concludes

Garo film - Rapture directed by Dominic Sangma won the Best Film Award.
Garo film – Rapture directed by Dominic Sangma won the Best Film Award at the North East India Film Festival 2024 in Imphal that concluded today.
The five-day festival held at the Palace Auditorium of Manipur State Film Development Society had eight films from the different states of North East region competing in the competition category of the festival.
The Best Director award was bagged by Haobam Pawan Kumar for his Manipuri film Joseph’s Son.
The list of Awards include:
- Jurry Award for Out Standing Performance to Guru Ruben Mashangwa for the film Joshep’s Son ( Manipuri Film)
- Special Mention Award to Ata Ninjon Duporiya Directed by Kanjan Kishore Nath. ( Assamese)
- The Special Jury Award to the Director of Before Spring Film . Shrutismriti Changkakoti. ( Assamese )
- Best Sound Award to Amrit Pritam Debajit for the film Gorai Phakhri. ( Bodo)
- Best Editing Award to Kuldeep Baruwa for the Film SAMARPAN. ( Assamese)
- Best Cinematography Award to Jayant Sethu Mathavan for the film Before Spring. ( Assamese)
- Best Screen Play Award to Patharjit Baruah for the film Nellier Kotha. ( Assamese)
- Best Director Award to Haobam Paban Kumar for the Film Joshep’s Son. ( Manipuri)
- Best Film Award to the Film Rapture A Garo Film, directed by Dominic Sangma. ( Garo Films).
