First Published: 16th March, 2023 21:28 IST

A day after Northeast Live reported the plight of the people in parts of Manipur, including Imphal, facing acute water crisis, the state government has swung into action.

In what could ease the desperate cry for water in Imphal and its adjoining areas, the state government is arranging at least 100 water filling points with water tankers inside Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in Imphal. The water filling points will be opened tomorrow by Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.
