A huge amount of arms and ammunition was seized in the state’s Senapati district today. Police made the seizure at Senapati Bazaar.

As per reports, after receiving reliable information that some illegal arms and ammunition were up for sale at a shop in Senapati bazaar, a police team led by the Superintendent of Senapati Police conducted a search operation and recovered the arms and ammo.

In this connection, the owner of the shop, identified as Kaikho Adahrii alias Adahrii Moses Phimu, was arrested.

Meanwhile, Senapati Police have registered a suo-moto case under Section 25 of the Arms Act and have started an investigation into the matter.
