Another Manipur BJP MLA resigns from official post, 4th resignation in less than a week

LA Kh Raghumani Singh stepped down as Chairman of MANIREDA citing personal reasons and in public interest
Manipur BJP MLA Kh Raghumani Singh today stepped down as Chairman of MANIREDA. He is the fourth MLA to resign from his official post in less than a fortnight.
Singh, MLA from Uripok, cited personal reasons and said he is also resigning in public interest. In his resignation letter he further wrote, “it is felt that my continuance as Chairman/MANIREDA is not called for, at this juncture. Therefoew, I hereby tender my resignation from the said post of Chairman and the same may kindly be accepted”.
Earlier, three other BJP MLAs – P Brojen Singh, Thokchom Radheshyam Singh and Karam Shyam had resigned from their respective official posts.
Paonam Brojen Singh, MLA from Wenjing Tentha constituency had on April 20 resigned from his official post of chairman of the Manipur Development Society (MDS) on Thursday.
“I tendered my resignation from the post of Chairman Manipur Development Society (MDS) Imphal due to some personal grounds,” MLA P. Brojen Singh wrote in his resignation letter.
On April 17, Langthabal MLA, Karam Shyam resigned from the chairman’s post of Manipur Tourism Corporation Limited.
On April 13, Thokchom Radheshyam Singh MLA from Heirok constituency tendered his resignation as advisor to Manipur’s CM, citing no responsibility given as the reason for his resignation.
These four MLAs were camping in New Delhi just last week to meet the central leadership, demanding the intervention of the leadership for a change of chief minister or at least a rejig in the state cabinet.
