HSLC Exams 2023: Parents of candidates climb walls to supply cheating materials in Assam’s Cachar
First Published: 3rd March, 2023 19:18 IST
It appears that parents of students appearing in the HSLC examination were supplying cheating papers by climbing the walls of the examination centre
Worried parents were seen scaling tall boundary walls of HSLC exam centres in Assam’s Cachar district to give cheating materials to their children who were taking the Class X exams that started across the state today.
Such incidents are usually reported from places like Bihar, but this time interesting visuals of people climbing walls of exam centres to provide materials to students to copy has emerged from the Ganirgram examination centre in the Cachar district.
In the video it can be seen how people were helping each other to climb the walls and jump over into the exam centre premises to pass on the documents to cheat from.
The people had to resort to climbing walls because security was tightened and thorough frisking of students were done to make sure that no student can carry anything that would help them cheat or copy.
A total of 4,23,000 students are appearing for HSLC examinations in Assam. The examinations are being held across 912 examination centres. The examinations will end on March 20. The exams are held by the State Education Board of Assam (SEBA).
