Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has received a death threat from a banned Khalistani outfit ‘Sikhs For Juistice’ (SFJ).

The banned outfit has issued the death threat to CM Himanta Biswa Sarma alleging that the Assam Government is torturing pro-Khalistani supporters lodged in Dibrugarh Central jail in Eastern Assam.

Several Assam journalists have received phone calls with the voice clip from Gurpatwant Singh Pannun warning CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to stay out of the Khalistani’s business and not ‘torture’ the Khalistanis lodged in the Assam jail, or else will be held responsible.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up and security agencies are verifying the audio clip.

It may be mentioned here that as many as eight aides of pro-Khalistani separatist leader Amritpal Singh including his uncle are lodged in Dibrugarh Central Jail.
