Assam CM launches Lachit Borphukan app & portal

The state government will be celebrating Lachit Diwas on November 24 in New Delhi to commemorate the 400th birth year of Lachit Borphukan.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today launched the Lachit Borphukan App and portal at the Janata Bhawan today.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sarma informed that people across the globe will get the opportunity to write about Lachit Borphukan on the portal through the App.

In this regard, he informed that schools and colleges will organize an essay competition on Lachit Borphukan on November 18, and the best articles will be recognized by the state government and uploaded to the portal.

Notably, the state government will be celebrating Lachit Diwas on November 24 in New Delhi to commemorate the 400th birth year of Lachit Borphukan.

An international seminar and exhibition will also be organized at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on November 23 and November 24.
