In a significant initiative aimed at community outreach and welfare enhancement, Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shweta Nagarkoti inaugurated the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) at the DC office in Itanagar.
Speaking on the occasion Nagarkoti said the main purpose of the mission is to spread awareness about government schemes among the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
She added that projects such as “Seva Apke Dwar” have already been implemented in Arunachal and the latest venture is a grander version of such schemes.
Speaking on the matter of addressal of grievances, the ADC said, “Despite our best intentions we cannot be in every place all the time, hence we have planned to start a district grievance redressal mechanism where a number will be given as well as a link where the grievances can be aired and we will try our best to address such concerns.”
She urged residents of the region to report illegal activities such as earth cutting to concerned authorities.
