Husband Facilitates Wife’s Marriage to Her Lover

In a rare and emotionally charged turn of events, a man from Santirbazar in South Tripura district arranged the marriage of his wife to her lover, a local vegetable vendor, after learning about their ongoing affair.

The man, Nayan Saha, 33, had been married for eight years when he discovered that his wife was in a relationship with another man from their neighbourhood. Despite several requests from Saha to end the affair, his wife continued the relationship. After discussing the matter with his family, Saha made the bold and unconventional decision to allow his wife and her lover to get married.

The wedding took place on Wednesday at a local temple with complete Hindu rituals. Both families supported the ceremony, and no one raised any objections.

“I don’t have any issue with it. Let them live together happily,” Saha told reporters, showing calmness and maturity.

Local police chose not to intervene, stating that both individuals were adults and their families had given their consent for the marriage.
