APPSCE aspirants as well as members of the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee, held a massive demonstration at the Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar to express their dissatisfaction over the government’s role in addressing the APPSCE fiasco.

It may be mentioned that a meeting of the representatives of the PAJSC, All Nyishi Students Union and All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union was held with the government representatives led by Home Minister Bamang Felix to decide on the future course, but things ended on an inconclusive note.

As per inputs, the committee had expected the government to address their previous 13-point demands and would deliver a logical conclusion. However, no solution could be formulated in the meeting.

During the mass gathering at the IG Park, some of the agitators spoke exlcusively to Northeast Live.

One of the protestors said,”First of all to be very clear, nobody is satisfied with the government decision. That has to be known to the government and by the public. If the government is not able to take any decision, than whatever demands have been placed by the Joint Steering Committee, than let the government provide a written letter stating that the paper leakage committed in this entire examination should be forwarded to the upcoming commission. The government should have provided that written assurance. But that was not provided by the government. We are confused as to what is the stand of the state government. That has to be clear. But still the government is unable to identify where they are standing.”

Another aspirant said,”We are unhappy with the outcome of the meeting held yesterday. Things should have concluded yesterday itself, but that did not happen. We are not satisfied with the outcome. Our voices must be heard, only then things will move forward.”

One of the parents of the aspirants who too had expressed solidarity to the demonstration said,”From the last several months we are unable to see a conclusion as far as the role of the state government is concerned. We want that the government must resolve this at the earliest. In fact that it must be resolved in a time bound manner.”
