Arunachal NPP announces candidate for assembly polls next year

NPP announced Paknga Bage as the candidate for the Dumporijo Assembly seat. The Arunachal Assembly polls will be held early next year

The Arunachal Pradesh National People’s Party (NPP) on Thursday announced the name of Paknga Bage, current state NPP General Secretary, as the candidate for the 26 ST Dumporijo Assembly seat of Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh for the state Assembly elections to be held early next year.

The announcement was made by state NPP President, Thangwang Wangham today.

Bage had won the Dumporijo seat in 2014 as an Independent candidate.

The former MLA has urged the public of his constituency to give him a second chance to serve them by re-electing him as the MLA.

Bage, without losing time, has made 11 poll promises that he said he would deliver if elected to power.
He promised creation of a separate district for Dumporijo “as per popular demand of the public”, establishing Mini Secretariat for better administration, setting up a hydro power project at Shee river and create more jobs.

He said that if elected to power he would also explore the possibility of railway connectivity to Dumporijo via Baririjo, advance landing ground at Belo-Kuprijo area and a national highway between the circle office of Mib Geko and Gergamukh in Assam.

He would also focus on the improvement of the health sector to reduce the mortality rate and improve the education sector to improve the literacy rate. He would also bring in a self-employed policy for unemployed youth under 30 per cent MLA LAD (Local Area Development) annually and work towards improving the per capita income of the farming community by encouraging commercial farming.

He also talked about the road to connect Riko-Litmuri village, Paksok to Bulo village and Lushi ti Lirmoba head quarter.
