Arunachal: HIPF ups ante against Arunachal Pradesh government. Row over renaming of Greenfield Airport escalates.

Big story from Arunachal. The Hollongi Indigenous People’s Forum has called for a peaceful bandh tomorrow. The shutdown has been called covering the areas of Hollongi Airport Tri Junction towards ANYA Gate Chariali.

As per inputs the general public of Hollongi and Huto Panchayats have also extended their support to the shutdown.

It may be mentioned that the HIPF has called for the shutdown over alleged delay by the Arunachal government in fulfilling it’s demands.

The HIPF is demanding to insert the Hollongi word in the terminology as Donyi Polo Airport Hollongi Itanagar instead of just Donyi polo Airport Itanagar.
