There has been 3 cases of abductions in the Longding district in the past one-and-a-half months.
AAPSU Vice-President Nabam Gandhi, today, said that the recent spate of abductions taking place at Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh are a result of the failure of the state government, adding that the government has no idea where the abductees have been taken.
Nabam Gandhi was speaking to the media in Itanagar where AAPSU observed Black Day today against the CAA ruling of 2019.
He added that despite possessing intelligence agencies such as IB, the government does not utilize them and only comes out of its slumber when organizations such as AAPSU talk about social matters.
“Despite possessing ample resources the government is allowing its citizens to be kidnapped and to be taken out of the state which is very shameful and 100 per cent a failure of the government,” he added.
He said that if the government truly thinks about the welfare of the state’s people, this thing (abductions) which has been a recurring problem in the state, should not be allowed to happen again.
He requested the government to bring the abducted people back to their homes at the earliest.
It is worth mentioning that there has been 3 cases of abductions in the Longding district in the past one-and-a-half months. Security forces have issued a ‘high alert’ due to possibility of further abduction attempts by militants.
