Arunachal: 2 Youths missing from near LAC

Family members suspect that the youths might have inadvertently crossed the LAC and detained by China's PLA.
Two youths from Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district have reportedly gone missing from an area along the Line of Actual Control.
Both, the youths identified as Bateilum Tikro and Bayingso Manyu went to Changlagam area in search of medicinal herbs on August 19.
Tikro and Manyu were last seen close to the LAC on August 24.

Family members as well as locals suspect that both Bateilum Tikro and Bayingso Manyu might have inadvertently crossed the LAC and China’s PLA might have detained them.
The youths hail from Duiliang village under Chaglagam circle.
Family members while filing a missing report with the police said that they along with other locals of Duiliang village had carried out a search and rescue operation but failed to trace the youths.
