Woman killed in suspected leopard attack in Guwahati

Locals suspect that the woman died in a leopard attack.

Sensation prevails in the Gotanagar area of Maligaon in Guwahati after the recovery of a woman’s body.

The body, recovered in the hill area of Gotanagar, bore injury marks on the stomach.

The identity of the deceased woman is not known yet.

After receiving the information, city police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Following the recovery, the body was transported for a post-mortem examination. Currently, investigation is underway.

On Tuesday, at least three people, including two forest staff, were injured after a leopard attacked them in Guwahati’s Fatasil Ambari area.

As per inputs, a leopard strayed into an under-construction building in the Fatasil Ambari area and attacked a local youth.

However, a team from the forest department reached the spot and tried to capture the leopard, it attacked two forest personnel as well.
