In a significant bust against illegal activities in Guwahati, city police seized a huge quantity of fake Indian currency notes and apprehended a person from Jalukbari on Tuesday evening.
The raids were conducted last night, and Fake Indian Currency Note ( FICN) printing machine and Rs 2.16 lakh fake currency were seized.
The fake notes were printed in Rs 500 denominations.
Meanwhile, necessary legal steps have been initiated.
