Residents of Chagalkhuti village in Chapar woke up to some shocking news this morning. The body of a woman in semi-nude condition with her hands and mouth tied, was found inside an abandoned house in the village.
The locals suspect that the woman was raped and murdered, and then her body was hanged.
As per inputs, the woman had six children. The deceased woman had come from Goalpara district, and was living temporarily in Chagalkhuti village.
The police have reached the spot and have retrieved the body. An investigation into the matter is underway to nab the culprits.
The incident has created a huge sensation in the entire region.
