A student of NIT Silchar has reportedly died by suicide. As per sources, the student was a resident of Arunachal Pradesh. He was reportedly a boarder of hostel number 6.

The body has been sent for post-mortem to Silchar Medical College.

According to sources, the student, a resident of an interior area in Arunachal Pradesh, was facing issues with his studies.

He was trying to reach out to his professors for assistance. Today, he tried to meet with the Dean but it did not happen.

According to reports, the Dean allegedly denied the student’s request and treated him disrespectfully.

The student’s body was recovered at 5 p.m today.

Police are currently investigating the matter.
