Union Minister Darshana Jardosh visits Chumoukedima, inaugurates SAMARTH training programme

Union Minister Jardosh visited the sites at the Dhansiripar village for distribution of fly shuttle frame looms, weavers and inaugurated SAMARTH training programme.
Union Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, Darshana Jardosh, on the second day of her three-day visit to Nagaland, had an interaction with the Administration and Heads of Offices of Chumoukedima district at the DC conference hall, Chumoukedima.
Officials of departments of Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, Soil and Water Conservation, Health, Power, PWD (R&B), PHE, Sericulture, Handicraft Industries were present at the meeting and they highlighted the progress of various schemes under their respective department.
The Union Minister also visited Dhansiripar village where she distributed fly shuttle frame looms and inaugurated SAMARTH training programme. The Union Minister also visited Eri rearing village and sericulture farm at Dhansiripar Village, Diezephe craft village, Sovima Heirloom Naga, Handloom and Handicrafts Design and Development centre.
She also visited dragon fruit farm at Chumoukedima and reviewed progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission at Kirha village.
She also celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the officials and rank of 37 Battalion BSF at Chedema, Kohima. She tied Rakhi to the BSF personnel during the special programme organized at Battalion Headquarter at its campus.
The Union Minister’s visit to the state is to get a first-hand account of the issues in the districts of the state and problems that the people are facing.
Meanwhile, the meeting chaired by ADC, Chumoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, where he appreciated the effort she had taken to visit Chumoukedima District.
During the interaction, departments such as Rural development, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Soil & Water Conservation, Health, Power, PWD (R&B), PHE, Sericulture, Handicraft industries highlighted the progress of various schemes under their department and ongoing projects.

She also visited Dragon fruit farm at Chumoukedima and Jan Jal Mission at Kirha village respectively.
