Infra push: Work to convert Kohima Bypass Road into two-lane road underway in Nagaland

In another push to improve road projects in Nagaland, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadhkari, informed that work to convert Kohima Bypass Road into a two-lane road is underway.
The project is stretched over a length of 10.5 kilometers and includes a 0.5-kilometer tunnel connecting National Highway 39, 150 (currently NH-2), and National Highway 61 (currently NH-29) as part of Package 2.
The primary objective of this project is to enhance connectivity with other states in the northeast region and provide fast, sustainable and cost-effective mobility options to all commuters.
The union minister added that the project, under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underscores the commitment to delivering world-class highway infrastructure to the northeast and accelerating its economic growth.
