CM Neiphiu Rio meets HM Amit Shah in New Delhi, welcomes opposition less govt in Nagaland

Rio expressed hope that the Naga Political issue will find a solution in this tenure
After the big win of the NDPP in Nagaland, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today.
“Was visited by CM Nagaland @Neiphiu_Rio Ji & Dy CM @YanthungoPatton Ji. Congratulated them on taking the oath of office for another term. Under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji, may the new govt pace up the journey toward prosperity based on the peace achieved till now” Amit Shah tweeted.
Earlier today Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton also called on Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed various developmental issues for the upliftment of the tribals along with the Union Minister.
“Called on the Hon’ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Shri Arjun Munda @MundaArjun along with Deputy CM Shri @YanthungoPatton and Adviser to CM Shri @abumetha. We had a positive discussion on various developmental issues for the upliftment of tribals.” CM Rio tweeted.
Speaking to media, Chief Minister Rio said he is in the National Capital to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for campaigning in Nagaland as well as for attending the Swearing in ceremony of the new government.
Rio also expressed hope that the Naga Political issue will find a solution in this tenure.
Responding to Nagaland’s moving towards an opposition-less government, CM Rio said that Nagaland is a troubled state with many issues that need to be solved like the Naga issue and the ENPO. He welcomed an opposition-less government in the state.
“Nagaland is a troubled state with Naga and ENPO issues to be resolved. Then we have delimitation pending. So it will be good if we can have an opposition-less government. We welcome that” CM Rio said.
While responding to the center pending the Naga issue for a long time, CM Rio said, “Earlier they could not come together, but on January 14, 2023 they had signed and gave a joint statement that on the basis of the political and historical right they will collectively resolve. So we are hopeful that solution will come.”
