JD(U)’s Koridang candidate’s nephew found dead in poll-bound Nagaland

The deceased has been identified as Imkongchiba a resident of Chungtia village and the nephew of JD(U) candidate Chalukumba Ao from Koridang assembly constituency
The nephew of a Janata Dal (United)-JD(U) candidate was found dead in Mokokchung district of poll-bound Nagaland on Wednesday (February 22).
The deceased has been identified as Imkongchiba a resident of Chungtia village and the nephew of JD(U) candidate Chalukumba Ao from Koridang assembly constituency.
As per reports, Imkongchiba and another person were reported missing since Tuesday night (February 21). Later, the other person returned home, but Imkongchiba was still missing and later on Wednesday police found his body by a roadside in a forested area.
Meanwhile, Chalukumba Ao pointed his fingers at his political rivals and said, “They might be involved in some way. We do not know much yet, only that some miscreants were involved. Police must find out the truth.”
Chalukumba is contesting the 3023 assembly elections against independent candidate I. Talitsuba Imchen, NPF’s Maj. Toshikaba (Retd), BJP candidate Imkong L. Imchen.
Nagaland will go to polls on February 27 and votes will be counted on March 2.
