Pre-poll violence in Nagaland: goons attacked several houses, one dead body found

Different cases were registered ahead of elections in Nagaland

Incidents of pre-poll violence continue to plague Nagaland with less than a week to go for polls. NCP has alleged three incidents of violence against their party workers. The house of NCP supporter Shri. Nrithung Humtsoe, residing at Molonsu colony, Wokha was invaded and completely destroyed by goons from the 38th A/C BJP party led by I.Hapenthung Ezung s/o Lampvuo. He was critically injured by the goons and his house along with his vehicle was destroyed by the goons because he prefers to choose his own candidate.
Another incident was reported, a headmaster of Mount Senia school was attacked in his house by a mob of BJP 38 A/C Wokha, led by Thechamo Kikon s/o Nribemo Kikon, resident of Zuvotung Colony. The victim is reportedly a supporter of the NCP.
The third incident was reported in the house of BLO of a polling station, Mhonbemo Patton resident of a church colony and the BLO of polling station part No.21, was trespassed and assaulted and also forcibly snatched away the voters slip along with the election official register, by the goons of BJP 38A/C Wokha led by Echungo Ezung S/O Lt. Fuchumshio Ezung of Longsa Village, presently residing at church colony.
FIR has been filed in all the three cases of pre-poll violence in Nagaland.
Pre-poll Killing was also reported at Chungtia Village under Mokokchung District of Nagaland
Two supporters of JDU candidate Koridang AC were abducted on Tuesday night by an unidentified mob. While one escaped injuries, the dead body of the other was found in a forest area. Their vehicle was vandalised.
The police investigation is launched over the incident.
