The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) is all out on a war footing to win as many votes as possible for the Nagaland Assembly Elections.

Incumbent MLA and NDPP candidate for Dimapur II, Moatoshi Longkumer, held a campaign rally today at the Nagarjan colony.

Speaking to Northeast Live, Moatoshi Longkumer exuded confidence that the public is satisfied with the work he has done in the last 4 years.

“Confidence comes from the amount of work you have done. Being an opposing MLA for four and a half years, even though I was in opposition, I have done all the works that perhaps were required to be done out of the small middle amount of fund that I got from the government. The public are satisfied with the kind of work I have undertaken.” Longkumer said.

“My greatest strength is the work that I have done in the past 4 years,” Longkumer added.

The NDPP MLA also said that he will change the face of Dimapur and will provide sustainable livelihood to the women, urging the people to vote for him.

Reiterating on NDPP-BJP alliance this election, Moatoshi Longkumer said that the parties who are fighting against the BJP and NDPP alliance are wasting their time.

The NDPP is contesting the elections on a 40-20 seat-sharing formula with the BJP. Top leaders of the BJP, including Home Minister Amit Shah and NEDA convener Himanta Biswa Sarma, have also campaigned for the NDPP.
