The Indigenous People’s Font of Tripura is staging an indefinite road blockade in different parts of the state with their strong demand of appointing their representative as the new Chairman

The Indigenous People’s Font of Tripura is staging an indefinite road blockade in different parts of the state with their strong demand of appointing their representative as the new Chairman of the Block Advisory Committee.

The present alliance between the BJP and the IPFT seems to be on shaky grounds over the latest developments.

Things have not really gone well between both sides as negotiations carry on. A question mark on the safety of the alliance was also raised with Chief Minister Biplab Deb issuing a stern warning to the protesters to quit their protest.

The Chief Minster even dared them to withdraw from the alliance and warned them of strict actions. The indefinite road blockade which entered its second day yesterday seems to spread out to other parts of the state with the demand put forwarded by the IPFT party members.
