1st ever electric bicycle made in Noklak, Nagaland launched

WON (Wheels of Nagas), a Micro Enterprise (MSME), launched an electric bicycle made in Noklak in the presence of Hiazu Meru, DC Noklak, and SP Noklak Dr Pritpal Kaur IPS,

WON (Wheels of Nagas), a Micro Enterprise (MSME), launched an electric bicycle made in Noklak in the presence of Hiazu Meru, DC Noklak, and SP Noklak Dr Pritpal Kaur IPS, with the theme “Not Guns but Machines.” on November 10. The electric bike/bicycle has a top speed of 25kph and a power output of 250W. It measures 4ft.6″ in length and 3ft.6″ in height, and it can support up to 120kg in weight.

SP Noklak’s company, “Innovative Noklak,” created the first electric bicycle in Noklak. Previously, other machines such as cooking and drying machines, oil extraction machines, and other low-cost machines for farmers were also manufactured.

Dolly’s SP Noklak and the Punjabi community Dimapur assisted in providing logistics, welding machines, and other raw materials. The bike was created by Tumong and P Khuming (Def Noklak).

DC Noklak stated that Noklak people have many talents that should be polished and added to inspire everyone. He also urged the youth to work hard for the betterment of society. He stated that history has been made in Noklak as a result of this initiative.

Dr. Pritpal Kuar, SP Noklak, urged the youths to work hard and become productive assets for the district rather than relying on drugs or other intoxicants. She stated, “These are basic models; with additional knowledge, improvisations can be made. This is the victory of the Frontier district, which is located in a remote area but is rich in talent.”

Thangou, the president of KTC, stated that instead of producing weapons, one should focus on producing better and legal products.

Tumong and P.Khuming, the electric bike’s designers, spoke about their designs and stated that this was their dream that was realised, and that “Start Up Nagaland” was also an avenue for such ventures.
