Manipur: Rajnath Singh interacts with Army Troopers at Mantripukhri

The Raksha Mantri, while addressing the army jawans, paid tributes to the valour and sacrifices of the defence forces.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Imphal’s Mantripukhri a short while ago where he interacted with Army troopers as well as Assam Rifles personnel.
The Defence Minister was also accompanied by Amry chief General Manoj Pandey during his visit to the Assam Rifles garrison.
The Raksha Mantri, while addressing the army jawans, paid tributes to the valour and sacrifices of the defence forces.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh along with Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande arrived in Imphal on Thursday to attend the opening match of the Manipur leg of the Durand Cup.
Earlier on August 16, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh inspected the ongoing preparations for hosting the 131st edition of Asia’s oldest football tournament the Durand Cup at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in Imphal.
Following his inspection, CM Biren expressed satisfaction over the preparations and congratulated the sports minister, other officials, and the army personnel as well for their efforts.
