Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was yesterday appointed the president of Badminton Association of India for a term of four years following the election of the office bearers and members of executive committee for 2018.

Earlier, last year the BJP leader was appointed BAI’s interim head following the sudden demise of former president Akhilesh Das Gupta.
