COVID-19: Nagaland reports more recoveries than fresh cases for 10th consecutive day

Nagaland for the tenth consecutive day on Tuesday recorded more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases as 322 people recuperated from the disease while 101 new infections pushed the coronavirus tally to 23,854, a health official said.
101 positive cases detected today. Dimapur 31, Kohima 25, Mokokchung 12, Tuensang 10, Longleng 7, Mon and Zunheboto 6 each, Kiphire 2, and 1 each in Peren and Wokha districts, said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project Dr. Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.
Altogether 19,753 COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered so far, he said.
With this, the recovery rate in the state has improved to 82.81 per cent from 81.80 per cent on Monday.
At present there are 2,972 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, he said.
The death of three coronavirus patients two in Dimapur and one in Wokha district – has increased the toll in the state to 459.
Altogether 670 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
Nagaland has tested a total of 2,09,989 samples for COVID-19, Dr. Kikon said.
As of date, the northeastern state has administered 3,57,199 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to 3,02,391 persons, said State Immunisation Officer Dr. Ritu Thurr. PTI
