The Niki Sumi-led breakaway faction of NSCN-K (YA) won’t take part in any talks on the Naga issue until the NSCN-IM and NNPGs come to one table along with the outfit.
In an exclusive interview to Northeast Live, President of the breakaway faction of NSCN-K (YA) Niki Sumi indicated that his group is not averse to be a third entity in the ongoing peace talks alongside the NSCN-IM and the NNPGs, however, it is not opposed to either of the two groups and leaves it to the wisdom of the Naga people and Indian government to take a call on it.
Sumi maintained that eventually, the one solution that is being sought after should have the seal of approval of the Naga people. Sumi especially stressed on transparency in talks, reiterating that unless all groups unite there can be no headway in talks.
He also left it to the wisdom of the Government of India to take a call on the bounty on his head.
