Rebel group NSCN-K led by Khango Konyak has re-entered into a fresh ceasefire agreement with the Government of India with effect from April 15.

The new Ceasefire Agreement & revised Ceasefire Ground Rules were signed by Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs Satyendra Garg representing Government of India and Newell Naga besides Michael Yeptho, member on behalf of NSCN/K-Khango.

Meanwhile, the Centre has also extended by a year the ceasefire agreement with NSCN-K and NSCN-R
